It’s a Friday morning two weeks before Christmas and Butler Automotive Group is learning about the shiny new goody that’ll be showing up under the tree. It’s the all new 2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon, a longer and more spacious version of the TSX Sedan.
Joel, our trainer, is good naturedly introducing us to what is, in my opinion a beautiful vehicle… and that’s saying something since the only “wagons” I’ve ever loved fall into the Jeep category. Joel declares the TSX Wagon one of the new breed of SUV, that is to say it’s a stealth utility vehicle, literally lower in profile than its taller, heavier, generally beefier cousins.
The TSX Wagon is chock full of new features from handy accessories (like the cargo liner, cross bars, and bike and ski attachments) to the fun Technology Package (including hard disk drive media storage, remote-linked power operated tailgate and rearview camera guidelines). And, as to be expected, Acura’s maintained it’s enviable safety features including a body structure that more efficiently absorbs impact, a braking system that senses and responds to “panic braking”, and a whole slew of airbags (dual-stage, multiple-threshold front, front-side, and side curtain).
Butler took delivery of it’s first TSX Sport Wagon on December 21. The timing’s perfect; Acuras make a gorgeous gift anytime but, they’re so much prettier decked with a great, big bow.
