2014 Acura RLX

Let the fun begin!  It’s time to start ramping up buzz around the all-new 2014 Acura RLX. To train Acura employees the company will be flying a handful of sales managers and consultants to Phoenix Arizona to Drive the All New Acura RLX at Firebird Speedway.  That’s right, they’ll get to drive the most advanced car Acura has ever built on the same track driven by some of the most famous drivers in racing history!  If Acura’s trying to generate excitement, it’s working.  My sales consultants and I are jazzed!

The 2014 RLX features technologies like Precision All Wheel Steer, Acura Link II, and a Lane Departure Warning System.   Wow, so much new stuff!  Let’s imagine a large size luxury sedan that has more rear seat room than any car in its class.  Combine that 4-wheel steering that alters the way the car steers based on driving conditions and input received from the driver.  Now, let’s consider the ELS stereo system which has won awards from Edmunds.com among others for being the best stereo in a factory automobile for the last 6 years running, and make it even better by adding Krell Speakers made of the same material as Indy cars!  And let’s make the car safer, too,  by looking beyond 5-star crash safety ratings and adding Ace Body Construction II, a Lane Departure Warning System, collision mitigation systems and a body that is 80 high-strength lightweight steel.  Other extras include jeweled LED headlights, LED taillights, Milano leather, multiple rear window sun shades, and a cylinder management system that allows the car to run on 3 cylinders while cruising.  Then, let’s take all that technology and add 310 Horsepower and 272 LbS ft of Torque.  The result is fuel economy of up to 35 mpg on the freeway!

Peter McFadden3 WebThe car of the Future is here! Butler Acura’s sales consultants will be experiencing the next generation of Acura Advance luxury in the shape of the 2014 RLX this week.  More information about the car will be available next week.  Then, the RLX will go on sale March 15th of this year!  Look for the Hybrid version later in 2013.

We’ll submit another blog entry wrapping up our trip and training in a few weeks.  In the meantime, the future is now!  And we are so excited to be meeting it head-on!
