Automotive News is reporting that Acura may follow in Subaru’s footsteps by making all vehicles in its lineup All-Wheel-Drive. According to Koichi Fukuo, senior managing officer at Acura parent company Honda, “The key is AWD. As a premium brand, we need something different from the competition. What’s important is to have the technology, styling and performance to evolve all together. Otherwise, I don’t think we can increase the number of loyal customers, so-called Acurists.” Right now, Acura offers AWD as an option on all its current vehicles except the ILX.
